Garnered

Because I really have nothing of consequence to say tonight, but am still compelled to post.

Because apparently, and unwittingly, I touched a nerve or two last night.

Because, whatever your thoughts on the man, then or now, this is hands-down the coolest theme song ever.

Amy, you know I love you, and I'm a big fan of Mr. Garner, but I would have to say that the best theme song of all time is:

and the coolest theme song of all time is either:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZffqanrFE8Q

or

Just my humble opinion.

Good one F5. But I must offer up these as worthwhile contenders. More for the sheer entertainment value on my end of course, but they also had some nice scenery for both the sexes.

Oh, and when I get a little frazzled at work and my curls go a little crazy, the boys always bring me back to reality by singing my empathetic theme song.

*High Five* St Rich. But hey...shouldn't you be working right now? Happy Albanian Liberation Day.

Well, my venerated friend: I stand by my original claim.

But I assure you I'll be mulling over this debate for some time, because the tune from your first link will be playing in a continuous loop in my brain for the next three days, at least. That's an earworm on the level of Christopher Cross's "Sailing," and you know I'm speaking from experience here.

Anyhoo. You missed me with the second link (my sister would probably agree with you, and possibly Trey, but it was never one of my faves), but the third link? A very close runner-up, on several levels, to The Rockford Files. Oh, Tom Selleck: in spite of your political views, you make my knees a little weak.

Now, on to nodnarb's links. Cant' wait!

Holy Superheroes, nodnarB! You DO look like William Katt!!!

And nice call on the Fall Guy. Another one of the coolest all-time theme songs.

And yes, I should be working, but this is too fun.

How about these:

Not as cool, but they give me warm fuzzies.

Man, you guys are absolutely killing me with the Joey Scarbury.

And yes, I had to Google that.

Okay, nodnarb, I have to confess: I never watched the first show. I know; Trey is probably gasping, too. But you have to know that I grew up in a household of women, and if that show aired opposite The Facts of Life or, more likely, The Love Boat, it wouldn't have stood a chance.

But: good tune and totally awesome lyrics. Well played.

Watching the second link is like uncovering an old yearbook and stumbling across a picture of an ex-boyfriend. (Not that I would know, because I had no life before Trey. None at all.) Lots of good memories there, yes sir. Sirs. Whatever.

Man, you guys are fast. Let me guess: you're not housebound with preschool-age twins, are you? Huh. Didn't think so.

Classic links, Rich. Both of 'em give me goosebumps. A triumph of my childhood was learning to play the second one on the piano.

He's stuck in an airport and has no access to YouTube, but Trey fondly remembers this snippet of video. Which, I suspect, has more to do with the final image than the tune itself, but here goes:

I love how my husband has time to not only visit my friends' blogs, but comment. On THEIRS. WITH youtube links. But does he ever comment on MINE?

"Oh babe, work was so busy and hard"

You are so busted Richard.

I know. If Trey were at his desk instead of LaGuardia, he'd be all over this one.

Of course, S and K have almost completely dismantled the house as I've sat here, spellbound by the magic box and its wonderful sights and sounds. So much for my big plan to shower today...

Worry not my over extended friend with you finger o' god (F5...you get it???) whirling away on the magic box keyboard. I hate that you cant hyperlink in comments. I will soon have a couple of dittos to keep my days filled.

Let those natural oils condition your skin and hair a day longer. I'm sure our great grand parents didn't shower daily and they turned out ok.

Hey Rich. Did you forget to tell Tracy about that copyright infringement case you are working on concerning the misuse of classic sitcom theme songs to promote underground monster truck races outside of Hutto? You know, all those DAT and reel to reel files you had to recover and compare to recent Youtube uploads. That takes time and research for sure!!!
